A pre-event interview with the UK Marketing Director in Merchant Services at American Express

On December 6th, we will welcome around 500 marketing and sales professionals at The Brewery, where we will hold our 2023 Marketing Engagement Summit. This week, we reached out to Louis Ross, UK Marketing Director in Merchant Services at American Express, to find out what he will speak about at the Summit. Read the interview below to find out what you can expect to learn from Louis’ session.

My name is Louis Ross and I’m the UK Marketing Director in Merchant Services at American Express. I’ve been at the company 10 years and have held roles across Marketing, Consultancy, Sales and Partnerships. My current role is to work with Amex accepting Merchants and use the power of Amex marketing to drive them incremental value.

I’m excited to talk about Card-linked Offers. I work with a lot of experienced marketers at businesses across all industries, but many of them haven’t yet dipped their toe into the water of Card-linked Offers.

I think many people are put off by the idea of offers or discounts, but the reality is that for many businesses, Card-linked Offers represent the best value acquisition tool in a marketer’s arsenal. I aim to inform everyone about the value of Card-linked offers and hopefully encourage a few people to begin their Card-linked offers journey!

WHAT CAN OUR ATTENDEES EXPECT TO LEARN FROM YOUR SESSION?

Attendees will leave with an understanding of Card-linked offers, the pros and cons versus traditional marketing channels, and crucially, they’ll learn what questions they should ask a potential Card-linked Offers partner before starting to invest.
